Obituary
Thanks be to God for the life of Norma Elsie Emilie (Dahlke) Albrecht who was born on November 17, 1923 at her parents’ farm in New Auburn Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Herman O. and Ida C. (Pieschke) Dahlke of Arlington, Minnesota. These parents demonstrated their faith in God’s baptismal grace by bringing her into God’s family of believers through the sacrament of holy baptism on December 30, 1923. Norma studied God’s Word and was later confirmed in her Christian faith at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, Minnesota on May 2, 1937. She was assigned II Corinthians 5:15 as her confirmation verse. Norma was a graduate of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church Parochial School in Arlington.
On June 15, 1941, Norma was joined in holy matrimony to Raymond J. Albrecht at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church of Arlington by Reverend John Bradtke. Norma and Raymond made their home on the family farm with operations in dairy cattle, hogs, laying hens and grain. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Dwayne, Stanley, Donald, Diane and Karen. Norma and Raymond shared over 65 wonderful years of marriage until Raymond passed away on July 24, 2006.
Norma was a faithful member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brownton, Minnesota and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She was a dedicated wife and mother, supporting Raymond in his service as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Norma was an active member of several Senior Citizen groups in the area, where she enjoyed the fellowship of friends. She loved playing cards, dancing, gardening, baking and spending time with her family making memories.
Norma went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at the age of 97 years, 1 month and 5 days. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

To the Albrecht families,
Judy and I extend our deepest sympathy to you in the death of your mother. She was a friend and we shared many memories of political experiences. Cherish your memories too.
Letty Bernhagen says
My sympathy to the family of Norma Albrecht. My acquaintance with Norma has been through politics when our husbands were in the Minnesota legislature. However, we’ve stayed in touch through Christmas cards over these many years. Blessings, Letty Bernhagen
