Paul Loyd “Jake” Jacobson, age 70, of Gaylord formerly Winthrop, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 4:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Paul’s wishes were that anyone attending wear jeans.
Obituary
Paul Loyd “Jake” Jacobson was born on March 14, 1954, in Anchorage, Alaska. He was the son of Loyd and Dorothy (Messner) Jacobson. Paul received his education in Winthrop and was a graduate of the Winthrop High School Class of 1972.
Paul resided in Winthrop and Gaylord. He was employed at the grocery store in Winthrop and most recently at Unidoor in Gaylord for the past 17 years.
Paul loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, looking for eagles, deer and other wildlife. Paul liked to listen and watch the Minnesota Twins, and enjoyed spending an afternoon at Jackpot Junction. A favorite pastime of Paul’s was playing cribbage, board games and hanging out with his family and friends.
Paul passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 70 years. Blessed be his memory.

Paul was preceded in death by his Parents, Loyd and Dorothy Jacobson; Brothers-in-law, Jeff Berskow and Tim Karsnia, Aunts and Uncles.
