Raymond F. Hoffman, age 73, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hutchinson, with interment in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in rural Atwater, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Raymond “Ray” Floyd Hoffman was born on March 30, 1950, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Raymond L. and Marjorie (Owen) Hoffman. Ray was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1968. Ray furthered his education at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
On March 31, 1984, Ray was united in marriage to Mary A. Christenson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They shared 39 years of marriage and resided in Hutchinson. Ray was blessed with two sons, Brandt and Derek.
Ray was a Master Plumber and part owner of Hoffman Plumbing. He was also employed as a plumber in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota, a Temp at 3M in Hutchinson, and also worked at Canterbury Downs in Shakopee, Minnesota. Ray was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hutchinson.
Ray loved baseball, whether it was watching his favorite teams on TV including the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Royals, Minnesota Twins, or collecting baseball cards. He enjoyed listening to music and would have rock n’ roll music playing 24/7, whether the TV was on or not. Ray enjoyed playing video games on his Play Station and computer, and watching old game shows on TV, including Match Game and Concentration. Over the years, Ray and his family took many trips all over the U.S., his favorite being to Disney World in Florida, which was supposed to be a four-day trip, but ended up being five. He cherished spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.
Ray passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, at the age of 73 years.

Brother-in-law, Ken Christenson and his wife, Susan of Madison Lake, MN;
Sister-in-law, Ann Blakely and her husband, Jim of Dunwoody, GA;
Nieces and Nephews, Carissa, Kyle, Collin, Cale, Carmen;
Many other relatives and friends.
Ray is preceded in death by his Father, Raymond Hoffman; Sister-in-law, Trudy Hoffman.

Mary, I was sorry to hear of Hoffer’s passing. He was always in such a great mood when we worked together at Hoffman Plbing and Heating. We are going to be out of town for our immediate family Christmas get together. Christmas brings to my mind when Ray and Marge lived on the top of college hill and I would babysit for them and also our families spent Christmas Day together.
