Raymond W. Kostecka

Obituary

Raymond William Kostecka was born on November 8, 1931, in Biscay, Minnesota.  He was the son of William G. and Frances (Podhrasky) Kostecka.  Raymond was baptized as an infant on November 14, 1931, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 9, 1943, both at St. George Catholic Church in Glencoe, Minnesota.  He received his education in Glencoe, Minnesota, graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 1949.  Raymond furthered his education in Mankato, Minnesota, receiving a business administration certificate and an accounting degree.   

All of his life, Raymond made his home in Glencoe, Minnesota.  Raymond worked at Minneapolis Moline which became White Farm Equipment in Hopkins, Minnesota, as an account for over 30 years, retiring in the early 1990s.  He was a lifelong member of Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, Minnesota. 

Raymond was a caring, quiet, and reserved man, who was uncle and grandpa to all.  He also was a dedicated and devoted son, caring for his mother for many years.  Raymond enjoyed fishing, watching sports on television, golfing, reading, playing cards, and putting together puzzles.  He loved to eat spam sandwiches and ice cream and drink a Pepsi.  Raymond especially cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

Raymond passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 13 days.

Raymond is preceded in death by his Parents, William G. and Frances Kostecka; Brother, William Kostecka; Sister, Beatrice Kostecka; Brother-In-Law, Elroy Shovelain; Sisters-In-Law, Jane Kostecka, Lenore Kostecka.
