Service Information
Renae Anderson, age 71, of Hutchinson, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at the Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are with the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel of Hutchinson.
Obituary
Renae Anderson was born on February 16, 1946, in Bayreuth, Germany. She was the daughter of Vernon Sr. and Elsie (Onamueller) Anderson. Renae came from Germany to the United States when she was four years old. She made this trip alone arriving in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 2, 1950. At first Renae was a little confused with the American way of life, but was very happy to be reunited with her mother. Renae was confirmed in her faith as a youth at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, Minnesota. She received her education in Cosmos through grade 10.
On December 16, 1962, Renae was in an accident which resulted in her being a quadriplegic at the age of 16 years. She then resided with her mother in Hutchinson.
Renae loved flowers, her many beloved dogs, and traveling with her mother. She traveled with her mother to Germany twice, Vegas five times, and Hawaii two times. While she was in Hawaii she got the chance to meet Tom Selleck.
Renae passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, at the age of 71 years.

Brothers, Vernon D. Anderson Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Hutchinson, MN,
Robert Anderson of Hutchinson, MN;
Niece, Allisa Goodson and her husband, Dan, of Rochester, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.
Renae is preceded in death by her Parents, Vernon Sr. and Elsie Anderson.
