Richard Frank Reinhart, age 97, of Winthrop, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 17, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gaylord with interment in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm, Minnesota.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. There will be a Prayer Service at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday.
Obituary
Richard Frank Reinhart was born on September 1, 1925, at home in Nicollet County, Minnesota. He was the son of Richard and Gertrude (Kotten) Reinhart. Richard was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education in New Ulm and was a graduate of the New Ulm High School.
On December 5, 1944, Richard entered active military service in the United States Army and served his country during World War II. Richard was Honorably Discharged on May 29, 1945.
On June 1, 1954, Richard was united in marriage to LaDonna Holm at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Alfsborg Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. Richard and LaDonna shared 66 years of marriage when LaDonna passed away on June 29, 2020.
Richard was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gaylord.
Richard enjoyed farming, woodworking, making furniture for church and piano benches, wooden toys; making things with his hands, playing board games, especially checkers. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Richard passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm, at the age of 97 years. Blessed be his memory.
Richard is survived by his:
Sister, Joanne Schwappach of Denver, CO;
3 Nieces, 3 Nephews and their families, many other relatives and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his Parents, Richard and Gertrude Reinhart; Wife, LaDonna Reinhart; Sister, Elizabeth; Brothers, Cletus, Kenneth and Thomas.
