Robert “Bud” H. Willner, age 82, of Litchfield, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at United Methodist Church in Litchfield, Minnesota with interment in Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Military Honors by Litchfield Military Honor Guard.
Obituary
Robert Henry Willner was born on December 9, 1940, in Blue Earth, Minnesota. He was the son of Henry and Agnus (Anderson) Willner. Robert was baptized as an infant on December 6, 1942 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth on November 12, 1961 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield, Minnesota. He received his education in New London, Minnesota.
Robert entered active military service in the United States Army on December 9, 1964, in Minneapolis, Minnesota and served his country during the Vietnam War. He received an Honorable Discharge on December 8, 1966, at Fort Lewis, Washington, and achieved the rank of Specialist 4.
Robert was married and blessed with a daughter, Tracey. On October 4, 1974, he was united in marriage to Wanda Larson at Grace Lutheran Church in Duluth, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Walter and William. Robert and Wanda resided in Litchfield, Minnesota. They shared 49 years of marriage.
Robert was employed as a welder for Custom Products in Litchfield. He also worked for Towmaster in Litchfield and farmed for 15 years for Junior Marklowitz. He retired in 2009.
Robert enjoyed anything to do with John Deere tractors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.
Robert passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 82 years.

William “Bill” Willner and his wife, Andrea of Truman, MN,
Tracey Becker and her husband, Terry of Hector, MN;
Grandchildren, Katelyn, Kalley, Andrew, Taylor, Dylan;
Great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Hudson, Amiah, Autumn, Hexley, Liam;
Many other relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his Parents, Henry and Agnus Willner; Sisters, Mary Anne Veenhuis, Judith Groskreutz; Brother, Raymond Willner; Infant Brother, William Willner.
