Service Information
Robert Colter, age 68, of Mankato passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Memorial Service will be Monday, June 17, 2024, 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sibley Township, Sibley County, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. (two hours prior) to the service, ALL at church.
Obituary
Robert Dale Colter was born on February 24, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Hiram and Anna (Reynolds) Colter. Robert was baptized as an adult in December of 1978 at a Baptist Church in Keller, Michigan. He went to school through the ninth grade and then completed in GED. Robert lived in Missouri, Michigan, Oregan, Mississippi, Arkansas and Minnesota.
On October 23, 1977, Robert was united in marriage to Norma Horn. She had five children. Norma passed away on March 5, 2008.
On July 11, 2009, Robert was united in marriage to Debra Prahl at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley Township. After their marriage, the couple resided in St. Peter and Mankato. As a teenager, Robert worked pruning trees in an orchard and in the potato field. He was then employed by Duggy Motts Cannery, harvested peas, Smiths Frozen Food, Boise Cascade, nursing home and home care in Oregon, Bange Boat, Bucks Tire Shop, Tim’s Medical Express Transport for eight years in Oregon and AMV transporting patients from April 2009-July 2014, when he got Bacterial Meningitis and retired.
Robert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley Township. He taught Sunday School in Keller, Michigan.
Robert enjoyed listing to Elvis Presley music and Elvis Presley movies, watching TV and liked old cars and Eagle’s. He loved the 1968 Dodge Chargers and had two 1968’s and one 1969.

Debra’s children, Amy Molash and her husband, Tom; Brian Kley and his significant other, Stefanie Rohlfing, Chrissy Haggenmiller, Wesley Landon and his wife, Ashley, Les Landon and his wife, Emily;
Step-grandchildren, Hannah Molash, Bethany Molash, Morgan Haggenmiller, Nevaeh Molash, Paige Haggenmiller, Oliver Landon, Connor Rohlfing, Bethany Landon and Baby Boy Landon;
Sister, Linda Watson and her husband, Dallas of N. Cor;
Brothers, David Colter of MI, and Donald Colter of OR;
Brothers-In-Law, David Prahl and Pat Klaers;
Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his Parents, Hiram and Anna Colter; Wife, Norma Colter; Siblings, Thersa Colter and Kevin Colter; Sister-in-law, Sandy Klaers.
