So sorry to hear of Bob’s death. We were card playing friends of Bob and Barb. Kind of lost track over the last decades.
Nancy Hibma Snedeker says

Alan Christenson says
I have many memories of my uncle. One that stands out in my mind is when we were camping at Cutty’s Camping Resort in Des Moines. It was the 4th of July weekend. The night of the 4th when they shot off the fireworks; it spooked my dog Daisy and she got loose. He helped my family and I look for her. Well, we couldn’t find her that night so everyone went to bed. The first thing Bob did the next morning, was come over to our campsite to see if we had found her or had she found her way back to the camper. That will always stick out in my mind and I will never forget that. To me, I’ve lost a member of two families, one being my uncle and the other being a fellow veteran – that is why my profile pic shows a flag at half-staff; in honor of him. I wish I could be there Friday to give him a final salute and extend my sympathies to Aunt Barb, Laurie, Lana, and David. You will be greatly missed Uncle Bob. Rest in peace and thank you for serving our country.
On behalf of my family with love,
Your nephew Alan
