Rodolfo Lorenzo Palacios, age 79, of Gaylord, Minnesota, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 12:00 P.M., at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment following in the Gaylord City Cemetery in Gaylord.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 10, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Rodolfo Lorenzo Palacios was born on August 10, 1943, in Parras de la Fuente, Coahuila, Mexico. He was the son of Domingo and Rosario (Flores) Palacios. He attended school at the Universidad Autonoma de Durango, Mexico, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in medicine. At the age of 21, Rodolfo was united in marriage to Rosalia Bañuelos Nevarez in Durango at the Santuario de Guadalupe Church.
Between 1966 through 1984, he became a devoted father. Throughout the decade, he worked as a manager of Anagua Buses. Roughly around 1989, he moved to the United States and enjoyed traveling from California to Minnesota, and made his forever home in Gaylord, Minnesota.
Rodolfo was employed at Nordic Track in Glencoe, Minnesota, for a number of years. He enjoyed thrifting and going out to eat, especially at the buffets. He had a passion for carpentry for many years, however, he was more focused on his artistic ability to paint by memory during his younger years. He was a melomaniac and enjoyed collecting music records of a wide variety of music.
He will be remembered as a respected, humble, and friendly brother, father, and great-grandfather.
Rodolfo passed away on March 31, 2023, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 79.
