Ronald M Anderson says
Roger helped me out and in ways I can never repay back in the 80’s and 90’s. My kids got to enjoy life on a lake and snowmobiles because of our friendship. Bonfires and cooking over a wood fire not to mention up north. AND that doesn’t begin to count the mental rehab he inadvertently performed by just being Roger Lawson.
Lisa Engelmann says
As one of the kids that got to enjoy the summers and Winters on the lake with you both I will never forget the great times and the hospitality Roger showed!
Mark Ofallon says
I’ll never forget the many of good times and the friendship we shared over many years good travels my friend

I am unable to be at the gathering with all of you today. I write this as the friends and family hour comes to a close. I have met and fished with Mike and Scott Lawson, the rest of the family I have met briefly. Mike, Scott, your dad was the greatest piece of advice that I ever got. I don’t know how to put it any other way. Through all the time we lived together, all the time we worked on that cabin and land “up north”, and all the times we simply had good times together, he gave me a solid foundation that was missing in my life before. When life sent us in different directions I was able to draw on experiences that we had gone through, good and bad, to stand on my own two feet.
In reminiscing in my own mind the last few days I have been wondering about a legal term called: “Statute of Limitations” and in doing so wondered how many of our exploits and shenanigans can be published yet. I believe most of them although there are one or two that I should check with an attorney first just to be sure. (smile) I learned how to live again through Rog. Hell, I learned how to live, period.
If there were a way to sum up your dad’s life in one phrase I would have to pick the one he used so often:
Never A Dull Moment Around Here.
God Bless and Keep You: Ron A
