Service Information
Roger “Pee Wee” Zachow, age 77, of Gaylord passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord.
Funeral Services will be Monday, March 13, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with interment in the church cemetery. Military Honors by the Manthey-Asmus American Legion Post #433 in Gaylord.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 12, 2017, from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Obituary
Roger “Pee Wee” Edwin Zachow was born on August 1, 1939, in Sibley Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. He was the son of Walter and Bernice (Franke) Zachow. Roger was baptized as an infant on August 27, 1939, by Reverend Winter, and was later confirmed in his faith on March 29, 1953, by Reverend E. Stalhke at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. He received his education in Gaylord and was a 1958 graduate of the Gaylord High School.
Roger entered active military service on January 12, 1960, and served in the United States Army. He received the Expert (Rifle M-14) and Sharpshooter Medals. Roger was Honorably Discharged on December 28, 1963.
Roger was employed by Rosenberg Foods, Gulf Fertilizer, Boerner Tiling and Gaylord Metal Products retiring in 2004.
Roger was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Manthey-Asmus American Legion Post #433, the Gaylord Baseball Board and a 20 year member of the Gaylord Fire Department.
Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and athletic events.
When he needed assistance with his daily care, Roger became a resident of Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord and passed away there on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the age of 77 years. Blessed be his memory.

Roger was preceded in death by his Parents, Walter and Bernice Zachow; Sibling, Baby Zachow; Sister-In-Law, Lorie Zachow.
