Roger von Holtz, age 77, of Minnetrista, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Obituary
Roger Edward von Holtz was born on July 28, 1942, in Southport, Connecticut. He was the son of Everett E. and Anita (Kenney) von Holtz. Roger was baptized as an infant and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth. Roger received his education in Tempe, California, graduating with the Tempe Union High School Class of 1960. He furthered his education by attending Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Roger received a bachelor of sociology degree.
On August 16, 2001, Roger was united in marriage to Bei Yuan “Heidi” Zhou in Tianjin, China. He made his home in Connecticut, California, Arizona, New York for 10 years and then Minnesota. His life was blessed with four children, Jonathan, Kristine, Brian and Eric. Roger and Heidi shared over 19 years of marriage.
Roger held many manager positions including Hertz Rental Car, a Vice President for a travel insurance company and project manager for Bechtel International. He was very involved in the community. Roger participated in the fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa in college, was chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce, President of the Homeowner Association, election judge for Minnetrista in 2006 until now and a volunteer fireman in Minnetonka. He loved trains and had a wonderful collection. Roger cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
Roger passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 77 years, 10 months, and 21 days.

Roger is preceded in death by his Parents, Everett and Anita von Holtz.
