Rosalie Jean Hemerick, age 77, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at her home in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 19, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at the Johnson–McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment in First Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glencoe, Minnesota.
Gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Obituary
Rosalie Jean Hemerick was born on December 8, 1943, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She is the daughter of Roy G. Lueck and Anna (Schade) Lueck. Rosalie was baptized on January 9, 1944, by Pastor Alfred Streufert and was later confirmed in her faith on May 19, 1957, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She was a graduate of the Glencoe High School. After graduation she studied Nursing and was employed as an LPN at the Litchfield Hospital.
On June 24, 1967, Rosalie was united in marriage to David Hemerick at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Michelle Lea. Rosalie and David resided in Glencoe, Minnesota, for 43 years, but later divorced.
Rosalie was employed as an LPN at the Glencoe Hospital and in later years worked in the Housekeeping Department at Glencoe Regional Health Services until her retirement. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.
Growing up Rosalie loved to listen to country and western music. She loved to dance and would dance with her daughter in the kitchen while washing dishes. She enjoyed tracing her family history and spent many hours at the library, scanning decades of newspapers. Rosalie was a caregiver to both of her parents and would visit them a few times each day.
Rosalie passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at her home in Glencoe, at the age of 77 years.

Daughter, Michelle Lea Woodford, and her husband, Mike of Redwood Falls, MN;
Grandchildren, Nathan Woodford, and his wife, Melanie and their son, Levi of Albert Lea, MN, and Nicholas Woodford and his fiancé, Sierra Wagner of Redwood Falls, MN;
Sisters, Beverly Hanson and her husband, Harold of Hutchinson, MN, Karen Covington of Glencoe, MN, Sally Kloth and her husband, Richard of Willmar, MN, and Sue Lueck Carlson of Hopkins, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her Parents, Roy and Anna (Schade) Lueck; Brother, Douglas Lueck; Nephew, Justin Kloth.
