Obituary

Ruth Elaine (Krueger) Aul was born June 5, 1927, in Corvuso, Meeker County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Max and Mabel (Hansen) Krueger. Ruth was baptized as an infant on June 26, 1927, by Pastor Alfred Bauer and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on May 18, 1941, by Pastor A. C. Krueger both at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills, Minnesota. Her confirmation verse was Revelations 2:10. Ruth grew up in rural Corvuso, Minnesota. She received her education in Hutchinson, Minnesota, graduating with the Hutchinson High School Class of 1946. After graduation she worked as a dental assistant in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

On September 16, 1949, Ruth was united in marriage to Henry Jacob Aul by Pastor A. C. Krueger at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills, Minnesota. Ruth and Henry made their home on the Aul family farm outside of Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with a son, David. Ruth and Henry shared over 61 years of marriage until Henry passed away on November 6, 2010.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Ruth assisted with chores around the family farm. Ruth was a faithful member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.

In her spare time, you could always find Ruth working on a crocheting or quilting project, canning, cooking, baking and was known for her ginger snap cookies. Ruth loved being outdoors and was still doing vegetable and flower gardening and took much pride in her gardens. She was an excellent seamstress and over the years sewed and did alterations for others. Ruth was never happier than when she was surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she would love to sneak Snicker bars to.

Ruth passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 92 years and 22 days.

Nephews, Nieces, Other relatives and many friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her Parents, Max and Mabel Krueger; Husband, Henry Aul; Sister, Maxine Witthus; Brothers, Rueben “Tub” Krueger, Merlin Krueger.
