Ruth Randt, age 89, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 30, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, Minnesota, with interment following at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 30, 2017, from 10:30 AM – 1:00 P.M., 2 ½ hours prior the service at the church.
Obituary
Ruth Ella (Bioke) Randt was born on December 8, 1927, in Clara City, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Folgo and Rena (Broers) Boike. Ruth was baptized as an infant on February 2, 1928, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on May 3, 1942, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City, Minnesota. She received her education until the 8th grade.
On November 4, 1949, Ruth was united in marriage to Harry Randt. Ruth and Harry made their home in rural Clara City, Waverly, Plato and Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with nine children, Carol, Janice, David, Gary, Sharon, Randy, Chuck, Jane and Darryl. Ruth and Harry shared over 39 years of marriage, until Harry passed away on March 27, 1988.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, she worked as a nursing aide in Lester Prairie, at the canning factory in Winsted, Millers Produce in Plato and before retirement she cleaned houses in the cities. Ruth was a faithful member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato.
Ruth loved her family and was a hard worker. She enjoyed gardening, baking, dancing, singing, camping and playing dice.
Ruth passed away peacefully on October 28, 2017, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 20 days. Blessed be her memory.
