Ruthie was the kindest and sweetest friend and neighbor anyone could ever have. I have so many beautiful memories of her. My sympathies to the family.

Ruth was my Great Aunt.
When I was little, I always had a sense of dread and excitement when going out to the farm. When we would pull up to the farm, the house was set a ways back from the driveway. I knew that I had about a ten percent chance at making it to the house alive. Alive you’re wondering? Well, the machine shed was just down the drive from where we parked and the farm dog, Buster, hung out in the machine shed. The dread I mentioned earlier came when we pulled up because I had to make it to the house before Buster would come racing out of the shed to greet us. He was a very friendly dog but to a little boy, he was ferocious! A deadly killer who only wanted to chase me down and lick me. What does this have to do with aunt Ruth? She was always waiting for me by the back door to save me from Buster.
Other great memories include all the delicious food she would make. Whether it was fishing for bullheads with Uncle Martin to bring back to have her fry up for lunch or just a piece of homemade bread with homemade jelly. MMMMMM…. Yummy yum. I have many fond memories out at the farm.
Seeing her on holidays was also something that I looked forward to. She was always warm and inviting; 99 years is nothing to scoff at! Pretty sure most of us reading this would be lucky to get even close to a century of life. Thank you Aunt Ruth for all the warm memories.

Ruthie was so special to me and my daughters, Julie and Tammy. She was the best neighbor, friend and babysitter anyone could ask for. She had a heart of gold. Ruthie and I had a special relationship; we had long talks over the phone, we laughed together and we cried together. She was MY friend and I will always love her and forever keep her memories in my heart. Bless the day I got to know her. I will love you forever, Ruthie. My Sympathy to the families.

Ruth was an amazing lady I just loved her. Her brother Eddie and Ruth would come to town to shop for groceries. We visited and had talks about health issues we both shared. She was so great to talk to. I always felt better when I got to talk to her of coarse Eddie always cracked jokes to make people laugh. I’ve been thinking about Ruth a lot lately wondering how she’s doing. God please bless her dear family of nieces and nephews. Our sympathy and love.

Charlie, Mark, Mary, and Teresa,
I just noticed this obituary while I was scrolling back through Hantge’s obituaries. It seems that I only see you when we meet at funerals. It would be nice to get together and reminisce about our childhoods. I was in Hutch last weekend and would have come over to Brownton if I had known about Ruth’s funeral. I always thought she was so kind. I’m wishing for Ruth a peace beyond all understanding. You’re in my thoughts.
