Service Information

Sandra “Sandy” L. Bell, age 81, of Boon Lake Township, Renville County, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital.

Memorial Service will be Friday, April 10, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at St, John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township, rural Hutchinson, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Obituary

Sandra “Sandy” Lee Bell was born on February 17, 1945, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of George and Emma (Miller) Vollmer. Sandy was baptized as an infant on April 8, 1945, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minesota. She was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on March 22, 1959, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. Sandy received her education in Buffalo Lake, and was a graduate of the Buffalo Lake High School class of 1963. She furthered her education at the Minnesota School of Business in Woodbury, Minnesota.

Sandy made her home in rural Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. She was employed at Starkey’s in Glencoe for 18 years before working on a ranch. Sandy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Cedar Mills Township, rural Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Sandy enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with her family and friends. She also loved tending to her black lab, cooking and baking.

Sandy passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, at the age of 81 years.

Sandy is survived by her:
Brother, Thomas “Peanuts” Vollmer and his wife, Sharon of Darwin, MN;
Nephews, Craig Vollmer,
Michael Vollmer;
Niece, Kimberly (Troy) Johnson;
Special Friend, Henry Schlagel of Buffalo Lake, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.

Sandy is preceded in death by her Parents, George and Emma Vollmer; Brother, Dale (Kathy) Vollmer; Grandparents, George and Ida Miller; Nephew, Troy Vollmer.
