Sharon Schwartz, age 85, of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, formerly of Hartford, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, October 19, 2024, 3:30 P.M. at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax with interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Cairo Township, Renville County, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service at the Chapel.
Obituary
Sharon Marie Schwartz was born on March 14, 1939, in New Ulm, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Albert and Luella (Hopp) Schwartz. Sharon was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairfax. She received her education in Fairfax and was a graduate of the Fairfax High School Class of 1957. Sharon was involved in band in high school. She furthered her education at Concordia College in Moorhead earning her degree in education.
Sharon resided in Hartford, Wisconsin, and taught at both Sheboygan and Hartford Schools as a high school English teacher. She was also involved in drama classes and plays.
Sharon enjoyed cats, reading, playing scrabble, painting, art and traveling. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
When she needed assistance with her care, Sharon became a resident of Vista Prairie at Garnett Gardens in Redwood Falls and then Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan. She passed away at Gil-Mor Manor on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the age of 85 years. Blessed be her memory.

Sister-in-law, Carol Schwartz;
Many great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews;
Other relatives and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her Parents Albert and Luella Schwartz; Brother, Roger Schwartz.

We’re sorry to hear the passing of Sharon. Mom always spoke fondly of Sharon and they had a lot of childhood memories. They are now together in Heaven.

I attended Hartford Union High from 1965-1969. I took every class that Sharon taught. One of my favorite teachers.
