Sophie L. Schade, age 76, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at her home in Glencoe.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021, 2:00 P.M., at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota with interment following the service at First Lutheran Cemetery in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
Obituary
Sophie Loralie Schade was born on June 4, 1945, in Silver Lake, Minnesota. She was the daughter of John Sr. and Amelia (Osmek) Kucera. Sophie was baptized as an infant in 1945, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Silver Lake, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith on December 13, 1970, by Pastor R. H. Raedeke at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She received her education at a country school.
On June 8, 1967, Sophie was united in marriage to Gene Allan Schade (at/in) Glencoe. After their marriage, the couple resided in Glencoe. Sophie and Gene were blessed with two children, Susan and Cynthia. Sophie was employed as an Assembler at Telex in Glencoe for 29 years, retiring on July 29, 2004. Sophie and Gene shared 34 years of marriage when Gene passed away on August 16, 2001.
Sophie enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, playing cards and helping others. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. Sophie cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sophie passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at her home in Glencoe, at the age of 76 years. Blessed be her memory.

Great-grandchildren, Franco Mendoza, Gustavo Mendoza, Ricardo Mendoza, Sophia Kohn-Lorenz, Azaelia Kohn-Lorenz, Lucas Stradtmann;
Sisters, Dorothy Lindner, Delores Goerke, Gladys Casey;
Brother, John (Jackie) Kucera Jr.;
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sophie was preceded in death by her Parents, John Sr. and Amelia Kucera; Husband, Gene Schade; Father and Mother-in-law, Walter and Selma Schade; Sister, Katherine Brausen; Brother-in-law, Walter Schade Jr.; Sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hall, Shirley Schade.
