Obituary
Susan was born on December 18, 1947, and passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025. Susan is survived by her three sons: Joseph (Ellen), John (Kerensa), and Brian and her beloved grandchildren Nick, Adam, Emily, Sabrina and Will. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Frank Klein and mother, Ruth (Hemming) Klein; sisters Joan Thistlewood, Kathy Warren, Jean Wilson, Mary Ann (Tish) Heideman, Judy Klein and brothers Frank Klein and Jack Klein. Susan was born and raised in Saint Paul, graduated from Our Lady of Peace ('65) then earned a nursing degree from the College of Saint Catherine ('69) in St Paul after which she worked as a registered nurse for nearly 30 years, most of the time as Director of Nursing at Camden Care Center in North Minneapolis. She loved playing scrabble, reading books, watching baseball, and mostly just spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She dearly loved her time living at Lake Ada. Susan will be truly missed by all who knew her as she was loved by one and all. May she rest in peace.

I met Sue many years ago. She was a wonderful woman and a bright light in this world. She will be missed, but I am glad she is now free from the Earthly constraints she faced and is at peace in Heaven.

I met Sue at Harmony River when my Husband became a resident there 3-1/2 years ago. I have fond memories chatting with Sue and Cathy and so many others that have moved on since our time there. Sue was a happy lady, who if I mentioned her being a nurse; would just light up recalling her passion. I am sincerely sending my condolences to all her family and friends. As in a version of: Amazing Grace, My Chains are Broken and I am set free. Sue, may you rest in the healing and loving arms of our God and Savior.

My Suzy! Sue and I became very close 30 years ago and she was and always will be my best friend. I adored her and leaned on her often for support which she always unselfishly provided. I now look up to the heavens knowing that is where she is and that is where my support comes from….I love you Sue!
