Terrance “Terry” Buska

Obituary

Terrance “Terry” Buska was born on April 16, 1953, in Glencoe, Minnesota.  He was the son of Harold “Bud” and Celeste (Harens) Buska.  Terry was baptized on April 26, 1953, by Father A. E. Luger and later was confirmed on April 12, 1964, by Bishop A. J. Schaldweiler both at St. Peter and Paul Church in Glencoe, Minnesota.  He attended school in Glencoe and graduated with the Glencoe High School Class of 1971. 

On March 3, 1979, Terry was united in marriage to Barb Randgaard by Rev. Chet Hoversten at Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota.  Terry and Barb made their home in Glencoe where they choose to raise their two children, Nathan and Kelly. They shared over 37 years of marriage.

Terry went to work at the 7UP Distribution Center in Glencoe after graduation and then worked for the Garage Supply before landing a job for the Glencoe City Street Department.  He enjoyed working for the city and mentored other men valuing the comradery shared with his coworkers.  Terry and Barb owned and operated Lindy’s café.  He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.  Terry served on the Glencoe Fire Department for over 20 years and was a member of the Glencoe Sportsman Club where he served many years as their president. 

Terry loved to have fun and was known for his witty responses, giving others around him an immediate smile.  He enjoyed cooking, baking, watching wildlife, especially birds and going for rides with his favorite dog, Aussie.  Terry liked to watch artists paint and NASCAR, mainly cheering on Kasey Kaine.   He lived life without regrets, and was a proud Dad who loved his family giving each one his own nickname.

Terry passed away on, Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Glencoe Regional Health Service Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 6 days.

Jerry Randgaard and his wife, Hollie, of Willis, TX;
Terry’s Riding Partner, Aussie;

Terry is preceded in death by his Parents, Bud and Celeste Buska; Father and Mother-in-law, Lowell and Betty Randgaard; Brothers-in-law, Dan Simons, Lance Podratz, Arlen Randgaard.
