Thomas “Tom” C. Callier, age 79, husband of Susan, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson, with interment in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
Gathering of Family and Friends will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Military Honors by Hutchinson Memorial Rifle Squad.
Memorials preferred to Hutchinson DAV, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, or Heart of MN Animal Shelter in Hutchinson.
Obituary
Thomas “Tom” Clarence Callier was born on February 13, 1944, in Stewart, Minnesota. He was the son of Francis and Grace (Rosenow) Callier. Tom was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart. He received his education in Stewart and was a graduate of the Stewart High School Class of 1962.
Tom entered active military service in the United States Navy December 3rd, 1962, and served his country during Vietnam aboard the USS Boyd (DD-544). He received an Honorable Discharge December 2nd, 1966, achieving the rate of Storekeeper 3rd Class.
On August 18, 1973, Tom was united in marriage to Susan Mary Zanoth at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two children, Rusty, and Annette. Tom and Sue resided in Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 50 years of marriage.
Tom was employed in construction with Rockite Silo and as a Maintenance Supervisor for Mid Country Bank both in Hutchinson. He retired from the bank in 2016 but kept busy working for the Village Co-op and various individuals needing maintenance help. Tom was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. He was also a member of the St. Anastasia Knights of Columbus and the Hutchinson American Legion Post #96.
Tom enjoyed raising and training animals. For many years he rode with the Western Mounted Paraders riding his horse in many different parades throughout Minnesota and obedience training his labs and retrievers for local dog shows. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. Tom especially loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends.
Tom passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota, at the age of 79 years.

Tom is preceded in death by his Parents, Francis and Grace Callier; Brother, Kenneth “KC” Callier; Sisters-in-law, Ruth Callier; Brothers-in-law Bob Flemming; and the significant other of June Dawsen, Chuck Calhoun.
