Obituary
Col. Thomas Neal Feaski, Retired FA
Thomas N. Feaski, age 76, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 15, 2025, surrounded by his wife, Peggy, and nephew, David.
Tom was born on March 5, 1948, in Rush City, Minnesota, to Gordon and June (Fulks) Feaski. He grew up in North Branch, Minnesota where he graduated from North Branch High School. Tom attended the University of Minnesota after high school, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in education while also preparing for his future military career in the Reserve Officer Training Corps.
Tom proudly served in the Minnesota Army National Guard for 26 years, achieving the rank of Colonel. During that time, he served as Battalion Commander, Executive and Operations Officer for Division Artillery, and Deputy Commander for Task Force Timberwolf deployed to Guatemala. During his two-year deployment, Tom commanded 5,000 troops that built clinics, schools, roads, bridges, and performed hundreds of medical and dental services for the local people. He received numerous military awards and honors.
In his professional life, Tom focused on a career in construction, which culminated in the creation of his own company focused on developing commercial and industrial businesses. This included general contracting, land acquisition, design, finance management, billing and collecting. He also served as corporate safety director for Knutson and MA Mortenson Construction companies.
To those that knew him well, Tom was quick-witted, funny and larger than life. He never found a game of cards he didn’t want to play (and win) and was liberal in his ribbings to those that engaged with him. Above all, Tom was deeply devoted to his wife and travel partner, Peggy, who he enjoyed 37 years of marriage with. Together they traveled the world, having seen 105 countries over the past 18 years.
Tom was a devoted husband, decorated veteran, beloved stepfather, attentive grandfather and loyal friend. He is survived by his father, Gordon Feaski, his loving wife, Margaret (Peggy) Feaski, stepsons Rob Maas (Kristin) and John Maas (Catherine), and seven grandchildren, Elsa, Jack, Will, Maggie, Dillon, Luke and Hank Maas. In addition, Tom is survived by his in-laws, and many nieces and nephews, Aunt Carol Johnson, and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, June Feaski, and his sister, Laura Feaski.
Tom will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who know him well. His amazing memory, sense of humor, sense of adventure and loyalty will forever live in our hearts.

Tom, was a wonderful neighbor who loved cards, garage sales, and beating us in cards. He also loved his Vikings and still asked these dyed in the wool Packer backers. He will be greatly missed.
