Verna M. Ludewig

Obituary

Verna Mathilda Ludewig was born on December 27, 1926, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Isador and Helen (Heller) Sellner. Verna was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.

On July 21, 1955, Verna was united in marriage to Mathias Ludewig at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fairfax. The couple was blessed with one son, Bradley. Verna was a loving mother and homemaker.

Verna was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax and Christian Mother’s

Verna enjoyed word search, cooking, embroidery and watching the birds outside her window. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Verna passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato at the age of 91 years. Blessed be her memory.

Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
