Obituary
Victoria (Campa) Darnell was born on July 4, 1944, in Winthrop, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Luz “Louie” and Virginia (Vallejo) Campa.
Victoria was blessed with four daughters, Sherry, Kimberly, Tania, and Dawn. Victoria resided in several cities in Minnesota; Winthrop, Gibbon, Brownton, Robinsdale, Cottage Grove, and Hutchinson. She later moved to Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Victoria was employed at Vascular Solutions, Casa DeCampa, Telex Commmunications, Tonka Toys, 3M, Hutchinson Technologies Inc and most recently, Target Company. She retired in 2009. Victoria was a member of the Pulmanary Fibrosis Organization.
Victoria enjoyed sewing, painting, creating jewelry, crocheting, crafting, and working with stained glass. She also enjoyed tending to her garden. She especially cherished the time spent with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Victoria’s vibrant life was slowed when diagnosed with IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis) six years ago. Her family was her first priority; she could often be seen with her sparkly backpack (which held her oxygen). She never missed a family gathering. She fought hard and wouldn’t allow her disease to hold her back from the things and people she loved. Victoria spent the last year crocheting blankets for each of her daughters, in her words, to wrap them with her love when she no longer could. She will be dearly missed by many friends and family.
Victoria passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016, at her home in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, at the age of 71 years.
Blessed be her memory.
