Service Information
Virginia Hahn, age 93, of Gaylord, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Birchwood Cottages in North Mankato, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be Thursday, April 4, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Obituary
Virginia Lee Hahn was born to Gust and Louise (Messner) Mohrman on June 5, 1925, in Lafayette, Minnesota.
Virginia was one of 14 children. At age 13 she went to live and work for her aunt and uncle, George and Esther Messner in Gaylord, Minnesota. While living there, she developed an interest and became skilled in baking and cooking. She was known for her pies, caramel rolls and pancakes which delighted her children, grandchildren and friends.
Virginia was united in marriage to Tony Zumhofe on June 12, 1944. They lived in Marshall, Minnesota, and were blessed with two daughters, Lynda and Carol. They shared 17 years of marriage until Tony’s death in 1961. In November, 1963, Virginia married George Seitzer and moved to Cleveland, Minnesota. They were blessed with one son, Todd. They shared five years of marriage until George’s death in 1968. In 1971, Virginia married Al Pelovsky in Le Center, Minnesota. They later divorced. In July, 1995, Virginia married Harvey Hahn and lived in Gaylord, MN. She was happy to return to Gaylord where she had lived as a teenager.
Virginia passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Birchwood Cottages in North Mankato, Minnesota, at the age of 93 years. Blessed be her memory.

daughters, Lynda (Kenneth) Koppelman of Mankato, MN,
Carol Weber (Bernie Lynaugh) of Kellogg, MN;
son, Todd Seitzer (Enrique Martin) of Minneapolis, MN;
step-sons, Ronald Seitzer of Janesville, MN,
Jeff Seitzer of Darwin, MN,
Randy (Lori) Seitzer of Mankato, MN, and
9 grandchildren;
13 great grandchildren;
4 great great grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, husbands, Tony Zumhofe, George Seitzer and Harvey Hahn.
Virginia’s family is most grateful for the care, friendship and compassion that she received at Birchwood Cottages and her transition care from St. Croix Hospice.
