Wanda Jayne Birkholz

Obituary

Wanda Jayne Birkholz was born on April 29, 1964, in Winsted, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Dale and Marlys (Posusta) Marshall. Wanda was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith. She received her education in Lester Prairie and was a graduate of the Lester Prairie High School Class of 1982.

On May 27, 1989 Wanda was united in marriage to Reed Birkholz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Watertown, MN. After their marriage, the couple resided in Watertown and then Lester Prairie. Wanda and Reed were blessed with one daughter, Amber. Wanda was a hard worker. She was employed as a housekeeper and factory worker throughout her life.

Wanda was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church of Silver Lake.

Wanda enjoyed caring for her animals, helping others, camping, and going on picnics with her family. She loved all animals, especially cats and dogs. 

She cherished the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren and daughter, Amber.

Wanda passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia at the age of 59 years. Blessed be her memory.

Husband, Reed Birkholz of Lester Prairie, MN;
Daughter, Amber Selchow and her husband, Jesse of Hutchinson, MN;
Grandchildren, Benny and Charlie Selchow;
Sibling, Jim Marshall of Lester Prairie;
In-laws, Pam Cook (husband Dale), June Becker;
Other relatives and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her Parents, Dale and Marlys Marshall and her brother who she dearly missed Doug Marshall.
