Service Information
Wayne H. Rusch, age 65, of Acoma Township, rural Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at his home in Acoma Township.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township, rural Hutchinson, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2026, 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, and will continue one hour prior to the service, at the church.
Funeral Service will be livestreamed via the Immanuel Lutheran Church Facebook page.
Obituary
Wayne Hugo Rusch was born on October 15, 1960, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Hugo and Lois (Dammann) Rusch. Wayne was baptized as an infant on October 30, 1960, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth on April 28, 1974, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township, rural Hutchinson, Minnesota. He received his education in Hutchinson and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1978.
On March 6, 2011, Wayne was united in marriage to Cynthia “Cindy” Carlson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township. Wayne and Cindy made their home in Acoma Township. They shared 15 years of marriage.
Throughout his life, Wayne remained devoted to hard work and tradition, continuing the family farm and establishing a dairy operation. He also held employment at Goebel Fixture Company in Hutchinson for 20 years. Wayne also drove milk truck on the Glencoe, Minnesota to Cedar Mills, Minnesota route.
Wayne was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Cedar Mills Rod & Gun Club, Mcleod County Dairy Board, Guernsey Association, and the Tri-County Bee club.
Wayne enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, beekeeping, and canning, sharing the fruits of his labor with area farmers markets and his loved ones. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Wayne passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at his home in Acoma Township, at the age of 65 years.

Wife, Cynthia Rusch of Acoma Township, rural Hutchinson, MN;
Parents, Hugo and Lois Rusch of Hutchinson, MN;
Sister, Dawn Wegner and her husband, Jeffrey of Hutchinson, MN;
Nieces, Linda (Nick) Gewerth, Lindsay (David) Voight, Lynn (Fiancé Eric Inselmann) Neumann;
Great-nieces and nephews, Madi, Halle, Jolie, Raeley, Fallon, Milo, Millie;
Many other relatives and friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Ludwig and Helen Rusch, and Art and Lorena Dammann.
