Wayne J. Bluhm, age 89, of Brownton, formerly Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Shade Tree Retirement Center in Brownton, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 14, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment following the service at the Glencoe Catholic Cemetery in Glencoe.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Friday, October 14, 2022, 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Wayne Joseph Bluhm was born on September 21, 1933, in Penn Township, Minnesota. He was the son of Ernest and Elsie (Mikles) Bluhm. Wayne was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his Catholic faith. He received his education at Brownton Schools.
After meeting each other on a blind date, on September 14, 1957, Wayne was united in marriage to Sylvia Sieh at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. Wayne and Sylvia made their home in Brownton, Minnesota, and then in 1966 moved to Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Pam, Vickie and Susie. Sylvia and Wayne shared over 55 years of marriage.
In addition to caring for his farm and homestead, Wayne was employed at Sam’s Tire Shop in Glencoe, the Glencoe Creamery in Glencoe, and later employed at NAPA Auto Parts in Glencoe MN as a route driver until he retired in 1985. Wayne was a faithful member of St. George Catholic Church and then later Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Wayne and Sylvia were always together, especially camping and taking motorcycle trips. He loved driving his golf cart around, going boating, and eating at Burger King. Wayne cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
Wayne passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at his home at Shade Tree Retirement Center in Brownton, Minnesota, at the age of 89 years. Blessed be his memory.

Wayne is preceded in death by his Wife, Sylvia Bluhm; Parents, Ernest and Elsie Bluhm; Father-In-Law & Mother-In-Law, Frenz and Lenna Sieh; Great-Granddaughter, Isabel Karg; Son-In-Law, Michael Ufkes; Sister, Delphine Lindeman and her husband William Jr.; Brother, Melvin Bluhm and his wife, Gretchen; Brothers-in-law, Elbert Sieh, Mel Burt, Henry Henkelmann; Nephews, Ronald Lindeman, David Bach, Ken Aaberg; Many aunts and uncles.

I sold Tupperware under Sylvia so many years ago, I got to know Wayne and Sylvia over the years and will miss them both. Wayne would Drive us to Tupperware meetings in the cities. He always had good stories to tell.
