Service Information
Wayne Hauptli, age 73, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Glencoe Regional Health Service in Glencoe.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Riverside Assembly of God Church in Hutchinson, with interment later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, and will continue one hour prior the service at the church on Thursday.
Obituary
Wayne Lendale Hauptli was born on June 18, 1943, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He was the son of Leonard and Dorothy (Clark) Hauptli. Wayne was baptized as an infant and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth both at New Avon Salem United Methodist Church in New Avon Township, Minnesota. He received his education in Wabasso, Minnesota, graduating with the Wabasso High School Class of 1961. Wayne entered active military service in the United States Army on July 27, 1961, and he received an Honorable Discharge on July 25, 1964.
On February 6, 1965, Wayne was united in marriage to Georgette Goubard at Church of Peace in Glencoe, Minnesota. Wayne and Georgette made their home in Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Michelle. Wayne and Georgette shared over 44 years of marriage until Georgette passed away on October 29, 2009.
Wayne was a painter and owned and operated Hauptli Painting & Decorating. He also worked at a mink farm, drove school bus and worked at Medallion Cabinetry in Waconia, Minnesota.
Wayne was a joker and liked to invent items. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, making wood, country music and taking care of the garden with his wife, Georgette. The extra food from his garden he would donate to the food shelf. Wayne treasured the time spent with friends and family, especially has granddaughters.
Wayne passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 4 days. Blessed be his memory.

Brothers, Dale Hauptli and his wife, Karen, of Warsaw, MN,
Mylo Hauptli and his wife, Carrie, of Shell Beach, CA;
Sister-In-Law, Pat Mikita of Colorado Springs, CO;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and many friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his Parents, Leonard and Dorothy Hauptli; Wife, Georgette Hauptli; Brother, Paul Hauptli.

I was so sorry to hear of cousin Wayne’s passing. I am unable to attend the funeral due to appointments that I cannot change but wanted you to know that I am thinking of all of you and the sadness you feel. I will continue to hold the family up in my thoughts and prayers.
