Wendy Meyer

Obituary

Wendy Kay Meyer was born on May 19, 1968, in Monticello, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Vernon and Barbara (Wagner) Meintsma Sr. Wendy was baptized as an infant in Rockford, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota. She received her education in Winthrop and was a graduate of the Litchfield High School Class of 1987. Wendy furthered her education at Rasmussen College in Mankato, Minnesota, graduating with a Pharmacy Tech degree.

On May 19, 1995, Wendy was united in marriage to Kevin Meyer at the Court House in Glencoe, Minnesota. After their marriage the couple resided in Gaylord. Wendy was employed in Quality Control at Michael Foods in Gaylord and most recently as a nursing assistant at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord. Wendy and Kevin shared 24 years of marriage.

Wendy was a member of American Lutheran Church in Gaylord.

Wendy loved taking care of her Godchild, Savanah, playing cards, going to Valleyfair, Minnesota Zoo, Gaylord Aquatic Center and fishing. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Wendy passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020, at her home in Gaylord at the age of 51 years. Blessed be her memory.
