Service Information
Willard Beilke age 90, of New Ulm, formerly of Fairfax, passed away Tuesday, November 24th at Ridgeway on 23rd Assisted Living in New Ulm.
Funeral Service will be Monday, November 30th, 2:00 P.M. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairfax with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 29th, from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairfax. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Military Honors by the Fairfax Honor Guard.
Memorials preferred to the DAV or the Alzheimer's Association.
Obituary
Willard Armand Beilke was born on June 1, 1925, in Eden Township, Brown County, Minnesota. He was the son of Paul and Rosetta (Johnson) Beilke. Willard was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education at Lonetree School District #34.
Willard entered active military service on November 9, 1944, and served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He received the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, the Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal-Germany. Willard was Honorably Discharged on November 6, 1946.
On September 25, 1948, Willard was united in marriage to Mildred Kuester at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Wellington Township, rural Fairfax, retiring in 1998. This marriage was blessed with four children. Willard and Mildred shared 51 years of marriage before Mildred passed away on December 30, 1999.
Willard was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairfax and in the past was an usher. He was also a member of Lions Club, DAV, VFW Post #8459, and American Legion Post #205.
Willard enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, hunting, playing cards and making fish houses. He loved spending time with his family especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
When he needed assistance with his daily care, he became a resident of Ridgeway on 23rd Assisted Living in 2008, and passed away there on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the age of 90 years. Blessed be his memory.

6 Great-Grandchildren, Kylie, Maya, Hudson, Max, Jake and Alaina;
Sister-In-Law, Laurel Beilke of Sleepy Eye, MN;
Brother-In-Law, John Trebesch of Morgan, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Willard was preceded in death by his Wife, Mildred Beilke; Parents, Paul and Rosetta Beilke; Sister, Lucille Trebesch; Brother, Orville Beilke; and also a Granddaughter in infancy.
