In Memory – Elden “Al” Egesdal

Funeral Director (1938-2023)

Elden “Al” Egesdal graduated from high school in Elmore, Minnesota and later from the University of Minnesota Department of Mortuary Science. He worked in Minneapolis, Anchorage, and St. Peter before purchasing the funeral home in Gaylord; and later the funeral homes in Winthrop, Fairfax, and Westbrook. He was the proud father of 5 children and 7 grandchildren. Elden is active in his church, Rotary Club, Sertoma Club; and serving at the funeral home. Since being semi-retired, Al enjoyed yard work, and traveling; visiting his children in three different states, and his nephew in Hawaii. Elden “Al” Egesdal  passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 83 years.
